Victoria’s Secret parades starving models in lingerie in an attempt to sell you their products. Why? Because sex sells. But that’s not all of it. By showing these women in ads constantly, they force you to think this image of women (and this image alone) is the definition of beauty. Once you fall for it, you’re hooked and guess who wins? Them. Because after that you are constantly trying to grasp something that is unattainable. The picture below featuring the Dove “Real Beauty Campaign” is what real women look like but society has negative associations for images like this. Very easy to manipulate people in this world. Sad.
